Job Title : Biologist (0-3 years)

Location : Pasadena, CA

Work Model : Onsite

Hours : M-F 8am-5pm

Compensation : $45.00 - $48.00/hr

Type : 12-month contract, Potential for extension or conversion to permanent



Responsibilities

• As a tissue culture biologist, you will be responsible for maintaining and expanding various cell lines, performing and troubleshooting cell-based assays, and optimizing protocols.
• You will work with human whole blood and primary cells, including their isolation, culture, and use in downstream assays.
• You will also provide automation support and data analysis for high-throughput in-vitro assays using liquid handlers.
• You will work closely with other scientists and engineers on the Protomer team to ensure and continuously improve the quality and efficiency of the tissue culture and automation processes.

• Bachelor's degree or higher in biology, biotechnology, or related field.
• Experience in tissue culture with mammalian cells; at least one year preferred.
• Experience in using automation platforms, such as Tecan, Hamilton, or Beckman Coulter preferred.
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools, such as Excel, R, or Python.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
