UI/UX DesignerThe Opportunity:You know that a good tool, system, or site is more than just the code, infrastructure, and a nice-looking interface – it’s the way it addresses a user’s needs. As an experience designer, you put yourself in the user’s place and design the best way for them to engage with the tool, system, or site. We’re looking for someone creative like you to work with a team of SMEs, developers, and designers to craft the ultimate UX. In this role, you’ll research, design, and prototype the look and feel of digital products, making them more intuitive, easy to use, and aesthetically pleasing for the user. You’ll apply basic principles, theories, and concepts to assist in building a design system and work on a team aiming to improve the user experience across web platforms while solving complex challenges. You’ll advocate for the prioritizations of design-centered changes, refinements, and improvements, all the while keeping the end-user at the center of your work.Join us. The world can’t wait. You Have:Experience conducting user research and translating insights into actionable design conceptsExperience creating wireframes, prototypes, and UI components for web-based applicationsKnowledge of UX principles, usability best practices, and information architectureAbility to collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile environmentTop Secret clearanceBachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience in technical management or program management, Master’s degree and 5+ years of experience in technical management or program management, or 12+ years of experience in technical management or program management in lieu of a degree Nice If You Have:Experience designing for data-heavy, analytic, cyber, or investigative applicationsExperience contributing UI design within modern frameworks such as Angular or ReactKnowledge of accessibility standards, content design, and UX writingAbility to translate complex workflows into simple, intuitive user experiencesClearance:Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
